Yash starrer Toxic has delivered a massive opening at the worldwide box office, with the film recording ₹138.60 crore gross on its first day. Despite mixed reviews and divided reactions from audiences, the film has managed to pull in huge numbers across India and overseas, proving the strong box-office power of Yash and the curiosity surrounding the film.
The biggest contribution has come from the Hindi, which has collected ₹55.10 crore Net on the opening day. This is a remarkable number for a South Indian star led film, particularly considering that Toxic is a standalone release. The strong Hindi performance highlights Yash’s growing popularity outside Karnataka and shows that his market has expanded significantly after the success of his previous blockbuster KGF.
Karnataka remains one of the film’s strongest territories, with Toxic collecting ₹30.10 crore on Day 1. The figure reflects the tremendous fan following Yash enjoys in his home state. In Tamil Nadu, Toxic has reportedly collected ₹6.50 crore, while Kerala contributed ₹2.15 crore.
