The classic film Surya Son of Krishnan is back in theatres and proving that old gems never lose their shine. This Telugu version of the popular Tamil movie Vaaranam Aayiram hit screens again on June 12, 2026. This is its 5th re-release, and fans are still rushing to watch it. Movie has collected ₹1.51 crore in the first three days in Telugu states.
The film opened with an excellent response on Day 1, collecting ₹80 lakh gross. Fans turned up in large numbers to watch the beloved film on the big screen once again. Many theatres witnessed strong occupancy, and social media was filled with videos and pictures of celebrations by Suriya fans.
On Day 2, the film added another ₹41 lakh gross to its total. Although collections dropped from the opening day, the response remained strong. The momentum continued on Day 3, with the film collecting ₹30 lakh gross.
In Karnataka also, the film did steady business. It collected ₹4 lakh on Day 1, ₹3 lakh on Day 2 and ₹2 lakh on Day 3
