
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s iconic blockbuster Okkadu has made a grand return to theatres on June 26 and the film has received a warm response from fans on its re-release. classic entertainer managed to collect ₹39 lakh gross on its opening day across India, proving that the film continues to enjoy a loyal fan base even after many years.
The film performed best in the Telugu states, where it earned ₹35 lakh gross from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The overwhelming response from Mahesh Babu fans helped the film register solid occupancy in several cities. Special fan shows, celebrations inside theatres, and nostalgic moments created a festive atmosphere as audiences enjoyed watching the iconic action drama on the big screen once again.
Outside the Telugu states, the film also attracted a respectable audience. Karnataka contributed ₹3 lakh gross, while the Rest of India added another ₹1 lakh gross, taking the total Day 1 India gross collection to ₹39 lakh.
